One of the most picturesque villages in Konavle, Ljuta, located 3 km from Gruda, bears the same name as the river that runs through it and waters the Konavle plateau(Konavosko polje). Ljuta has a complex of water mills along the river, one of which is still in working order. Ljuta is home to the Konavoski Dvori restaurant (housed in one of these mills), known for its traditional cuisine and waiters in folk costumes. By bike, from Čilipi, you can reach Ljuta (about 1 hour), and then Gruda in about ten kilometers. Be careful, the road to the Sokol Kula fortress is really steep!
