Colmar-Berg, the namesake of the Alsatian town, is the residence of the grand-ducal family, housed in a castle built between 1907 and 1911 on the remains of at least five previous castles. The estate is located in Berg, on the left bank of the Alzette. The square tower of the new castle, 65 meters high, can be seen protruding, and the small corner loggias give it an almost Art Deco look. The residence is not open to the public. Colmar-Berg is also home to the Goodyear-Dunlop factory, a famous international car tire manufacturer, as well as its international research center and test track
