When to go to Agadir?
When to go to Agadir ? As the temperature differences can be very important in this part of Morocco, autumn and spring are certainly the best periods to go to Agadir.
In spring, the heat is not yet too stifling and nature is at its most beautiful.
Summer is often hot, and there are few places that offer a little coolness.
In autumn, the days are shorter but the sun is still warm and offers a dazzling spectacle when it shines on the Atlantic Ocean.
In winter, it is rare that the Tizi n'Test pass (road from Marrakech to Agadir) is closed. If you're cold, make sure your hotel is heated, which is not always the case.
When to go to Agadir? For reasons of economy and tranquility, it can be advantageous to travel during the low season (from mid-May to mid-October, and during Ramadan), however, some services and activities may be cancelled during this period.
Weather at the moment
Just like on the shores of the Mediterranean, the weather in Agadir is quite pleasant all year round. However, the high season is the summer, from mid-June to mid-September. It is during this time that foreign tourists but also Moroccans come to enjoy the sea and the coolness of the coast. Temperatures in Agadir rarely fall below 10°C in winter, and happily exceed 30°C in summer.
The currency of Morocco is the Moroccan dirham . Without being an expensive country, Morocco is not a paradise for the broke. The government has promoted tourism for the wealthy in order to bring in foreign exchange, hence the many luxury hotels in tourist regions such as Agadir. However, if you do it right, it is quite possible to find cheap accommodation. As for food, we eat excellently in Agadir, for a handful of dirhams.
For French nationals, no visa is required for a stay of no more than three months in Agadir. However, you will need a valid passport. To extend the duration of your stay, you will need to obtain an authorization from the Moroccan immigration authorities.
International driving license. In principle, you will not need it in Agadir. However, you should know that you can obtain it in a few days, for a few euros, from the prefecture of your residence.
The health situation in Morocco and Agadir is good. No vaccinations are required to go there, but those against hepatitis A and B and typhoid are recommended. The main hygiene rules concern food (avoid raw food). It is not recommended to drink tap water, it is not drinkable in Agadir.
