The Mecca of surfers, with its long left, among the most beautiful waves in the world. Pavones is located about ten kilometers south of Zancudo and has two beaches: Playa Rio Claro and Punta Banco, which are the best on the Pacific coast for surfing, according to the most experienced surfers. The best waves are seen at the beginning of the rainy season, in May. More generally, the best period is from April to September. If you used to have to show a real desire to surf to go through the path that leads to the bay of Pavones, the road has improved a lot in the last few years and is now easily passable.
