Zancudo is most famous for its beach. Overgrown with mangroves from the Conte and Colorado rivers, Playa Zancudo is the closest beach to Golfito. Almost deserted, this beautiful black sand beach is the first one where it is possible to swim and surf, starting from Golfito which is 15 kilometers away.You can also go for a walk to the village of Zancudo, located east of the beach; it is particularly peaceful and relaxing. As for the beach, it is perfect for bird watching, fishing, swimming or surfing, unless you prefer total laziness. There is something for everyone!
