More virgin and wild than Manuel Antonio, Dominical and the Marino Ballena National Park attract tourists. The atmosphere is rather bobo and wellness oriented: yoga, healthy food and ukulele sessions on the beach. Surfers know the spot well, with its backpacker atmosphere. Be careful, the beach is dangerous for swimmers (avoid absolutely the mouth of the Barú river north of the beach). Half an hour away, there are beautiful deserted coves suitable for swimming. During horseback rides, you can admire some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, including the most famous Nauyaca and Salto Diamante.
