In the northwest of the Osa Peninsula, this enchanting little bay was probably discovered by the great navigator Francis Drake in 1579. Calm waters full of fish, a small quiet village named Agujitas with laughing children, the proximity of some of the most beautiful places in the country, including Corcovado National Park and Isla del Caño, and an infrastructure - with beautiful lodges in particular - that tends to develop attract more and more tourists. But don't worry, they are not yet the crowds of the beaches of Guanacaste, because you have to want it to come there! But what a delight once there... A real lost paradise. The road to get there is not very good, so don't try to take it at night or on rainy days. A safer option to get to Drake Bay is by boat. However, don't expect to arrive at a dock. There simply isn't one! So pull up your pants and take the plunge when you arrive on the beach. You'll still be laughing afterwards! As far as entertainment is concerned, no worries: almost every desire can be satisfied, from total idleness to a few days of sea expeditions. The hotels established around the bay will organize everything for you.
