North of the mainland. On the Cape of Aikerness, facing the island of Rousay, you can see the well preserved ruins of the Broch de Gurness, a tower of the iron age, dating from about the first century before our age. Other constructions testify to a later occupation by the Picts and then by the Vikings. Small road to the coast from the A 966, not far from the intersection with the B 9057.
