In the south of the mainland, this RÉSERVE reserve brings together a limited area (759 hectares) of diverse natural environments: bruyères covered moorland with passereaux such as shepherd wheatear, sandy beaches and small cliffs bordering Waulkmill Bay. A 6,5 km southwest of Kirkwall on the A 964, the visit is restricted to the area between this road and the coast.
