Glen Affric is one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. Lochs, mountains, pine and oak forests offer superb panoramas. Its forest is one of the best examples of what the Caledonian forest once was. Hiking or small excursions on foot are the best way to discover it, especially since several easy routes, without significant changes in altitude and well marked, are set up: around Dog Falls or Plodda Falls if you like waterfalls in the heart of the woods, Loch Beinn a'Meheadhain or River Affric. You will find each time a parking, a picnic area and short circuits (from 30 min to 1h30).
