Buried at the bottom of a valley, where the Val-de-Saire is green and steep, the commune of Le Vast is known for two particularities: its waterfalls and its buns. The first one is the result of the peregrinations of the Saire river, which gives here a magnificent spectacle, that you can take a picture from a small bucolic bridge. The second ones have a very singular history: thus at the beginning of the XXth century, the Roupsard family created the recipe of an airy, light and unique brioche. Since then, the different owners have given the recipe to each other under the seal of secrecy, and the name is registered: it is the Brioche du Vast.
