Situated about fifteen kilometres east of Cherbourg, Saint-Pierre-Eglise is a small shopping town, around its large square, from which you can explore the splendid Val-de-Saire: the rugged and wild coastline, the Vast, the ports of Barfleur or Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, the island of Tatihou or the Gatteville lighthouse. On the heights, Saint-Pierre, which deserves a little detour, invites you to discover its church of the same name, in the shape of an overturned boat, but also the castle of the Castel family, a historical monument that you will unfortunately only see from afar, as it is not possible to visit it.
