Travel Guide Civita

Civita is a mountain village of the Pollino whose charm is partly linked to its Albanian origins. Its museum of the Arberche community is also the information office of the Pollino park. The influence of this community may explain the cheerful atmosphere of this village, with its ochre-colored facades and the liveliness that reigns on summer evenings. Civita is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Calabrian Pollino. Below the village, the Devil's Bridge (its construction is said to be the work of the Evil One) crosses the splendid gorge of the Raganello. This torrent has carved an impressive canyon that can be admired from the hiking trails.
