The road from Ivalo to Inari runs through a beautiful landscape, hugging the indentations of Lake Inari, the country's2nd largest lake. The surrounding nature and the fascinating Saami cultural center (SIIDA) are good reasons to stay in the region! Indeed, this municipality is home to the core of Saami culture in Finland. In all, nearly 8,000 inhabitants are spread over an area of 17,231 km²! Inari is the best gateway to Saami culture. Skiing and hiking enthusiasts will be delighted, as this immense area, 70% of which is protected, alternates between national parks, mountains, reserves and marshes.
