From Inari, the E75-4 road joins Kaamanen (see in passing the monument dedicated to the Lappish infantry who fought during the Second World War). Sevettijärvi is one of the last Finnish municipalities before the Norwegian border. At the end of the First World War, Russian Saami (Skolts) from the Kola Peninsula in Russia settled here. In the village, you can see the Orthodox church that was built in 1957 after the arrival of the Skolt Saami who fled the Soviet-held Petsamo region. The church is dedicated to a saint from this abandoned region.
