About 30 km north of Kara on National Road 1, Niamtougou is well worth a visit. The area is fabulous, with beautiful landscapes and small villages of traditional huts. Its market, which is held every Sunday, is one of the most popular in the region. You should also visit the Codhani handicraft center and see its batik handicrafts, made by disabled people as part of a cooperative project. On the road from Kara, the Sarakawa Park, which can be visited, was created to bring the area to life. Further north from Niamtougou, the beautiful valley of Défalé and its villages at the foot of the cliffs.
