Located south of Djougou, the town of Bassila is a crossroads, close to the border with neighboring Togo. From Bassila, one can quickly reach Sokodé, which is considered the second largest city in Togo after the capital Lomé. Bassila, with its approximately 130,000 inhabitants, is a rather lively town and a pleasant stopover on the way to the northwest and Natitingou. Moreover, while continuing towards Djougou and Nati, you will discover, along the road, beautiful trees with varied species: shea, néré, kapokier, rônier and especially caïlcédrat. This will make the (long) journey on National Road 3 a little more pleasant
