This charming, peaceful village has fewer than a thousand inhabitants. It lies to the north of the lake, right on the Hungarian border. Potzneusiedl is best known for the castle that bears its name. Its origins date back to the 18th century, but its current Renaissance appearance dates from the early 1880s. Potzneusiedl Castle is home to several well-equipped museums. Icon enthusiasts will discover a fine collection of these works of sacred art. There is also an area dedicated to historic ceramics. After your visit, take a stroll in the park to enjoy the greenery.
