Ebene Reichenau is located in the heart of the Gurktaler Alps in northern Carinthia, at the foot of the Nockberge, the highest massif of the Gurktaler Alpen, which is one of the Austrian national parks. You come here to get to this unspoilt mountain range and to experience the very alpine and remote atmosphere of the fir-covered, traditional and rural north of Carinthia, far from the sunny lakes but also far from the massive rocky areas of the Hohe Tauern. This community is considered the gateway to the Nockberge National Nature Park. Hikers appreciate the place as a base camp. From here they can plan numerous tours.
