Located just 7 kilometers south of Innsbruck, Patsch is a traditional mountain village on the old Roman road through the Brenner. Patsch boasts fascinating views over the mountain ranges of the limestone Alps, the Stubai glacier and the Serles. The village is mentioned in official documents as early as 1200. The average altitude is 896 m. In 1399, a fire destroyed all but a single building in the village. In summer, numerous hiking trails lead you through a rich flora. In winter, you can ski on the Patscherkofel, the mountain next to Patsch.
