Fowey is like a miniature harbour, set into the cliffs with its colourful houses, winding lanes and charming bay home to majestic sailing ships. To the south-west is the small cove of Readymoney Cove and the ruins of St Catherine Castle. Once a haven for pirates and smugglers, the village is now a favorite with artists, whose galleries abound. Visitors will appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, conducive to daydreaming and creativity. The Hall Walk is a 6 km walk around the estuary, passing through the charming villages of Bodinnick and Polruan.
