Known for its stunning cliff landscapes and splendid beaches, St Agnes has postcard panoramas and is a must see under any circumstances. Its mining remains at Wheal Coates on the coast are particularly picturesque and have become a symbol of Cornwall, often used to show the great beauty of the county. Staying here can be an alternative to Newquay in the summer if you wish to experience a more rural village atmosphere. You can visit Trevaunance Cove, just below the town, and another beach at Chapel Porth. Both of these beaches are supervised for swimming.
