After the charmless port of Penzance, we arrive at Mousehole, a 10-minute drive away. This village is absolutely adorable. All the village's stores play on its amusing name. You'll discover a beautiful homogeneity of granite houses and pretty cottages. In its narrow streets are hidden little art and souvenir galleries. And a tiny postcard fishing port, far more interesting than its neighbor. The writer Dylan Thomas described Mousehole as the most charming village in England. Dolly Penthreath, the last person to speak only the Cornish language, lived here.
