From its past, Hermel retained an archaeological statement at the foot of which fragments of columns, capitals and press elements lie. The proximity of the nearby sources and forests has made this city a place of passage since ancient times. Today, you can visit the carpet factory where women weave and work the sheep wool ceaselessly. To join the Babylonian inscriptions of Nebuchadnezzar II engraved in one of its campaigns, at the exit of Hermel take the direction of Charbiné and then the small village of Braissé. You will see imposing stone blocks with inscriptions and engravings dating back to the th century BC. Beyond Braissé, you will reach the Plateau plateau which moves to Akkar and Tripoli.
