Qoubayat is a very lively town at the end of the Lebanese chain. Yesterday it was only a peaceful village where the workshops of silk shops were installed. It was used to reach the city of Homs in Syria before the new highway was built. At this time, the ruins of this old filature, the manor of the Daher family, a beautiful house whose door is decorated with landforms, two lions which can have been borrowed from a mameluke building in the region, and the church of Saint George (Italian style) in the west of the village. 3 km from Qoubayat, towards Akkar el Aatiqa, is an old chapel dedicated to Saint Charlita, recently restored, built with elements of Roman ruins.
