Midleton is a small town on the N25, the road that links Cork, Youghal and Waterford in particular. Its main attraction, and the one that interests the vast majority of visitors, is the Jameson Heritage Centre, the former distillery of the famous Irish whiskey. Here, you can learn all about the famous beverage and how it is made, with a tasting session thrown in for good measure. There are also a number of nice places in town to put your feet under the table. Midleton is also a good starting point for pleasant walks along the coast and through the surrounding villages.
