This small fishing village of around 500 inhabitants stretches along the banks of the Sulina Arm, on a narrow 7-kilometer strip of land between the river and a canal. Crişan is only accessible by boat, which gives it a special charm. There are plenty of guesthouses to choose from. Its location makes it an excellent starting point for discovering the delta's treasures: the village of Mila 23, the Caraorman area and the Letea forest. The surrounding natural environment is particularly varied: large lakes, a tangle of canals, vast reedbeds, willow and poplar forests, shallow waters, salt ponds... All of which makes for excellent bird-watching: from April to September, numerous species can be spotted in the vicinity.
