Near this picturesque village, the primary forest of the same name is the most beautiful in the delta. It is characterized by the abundance of climbing plants that colonize its trees, giving it the air of a tropical jungle. A variety of trees make up the forest: centuries-old oaks with twisted forms, ashes, poplars, lime trees, alders and elms. It's an ideal habitat for many birds (woodcock, eagles...), mammals (wild boar, foxes, wild horses...), reptiles (vipers, lizards...) and insects. The forest is particularly beautiful in spring, when the undergrowth is covered with flowers. It is bordered by impressive sand dunes.
