The village of Moisei is renowned for its craft. He is also sadly famous for the events that plunged him into mourning in 1944. On 14 October, it was burned by the Hungarian troops horthystes (allied to the Nazi regime) failing, which also fusillèrent 29 of its inhabitants. In the reconstructed village, you will find a museum commemorating this sad episode, as well as a monument made by the sculptor Vida Gheza in 1967. Carved in the wood, they are twelve masked silhouettes arranged in circles. You can see the face of two of them, which symbolize the survivors. The wooden church of the village is the th century.
