606 is a former railway line converted to green flow, which runs along Bloomingdale Avenue between Ashland and Ridgeway Avenue for nearly five kilometres. The locals do not hesitate to walk or cycle to work every morning on 606. As for tourists, they can discreetly take a look at the beautiful apartments on either side of the road. The 606 is one of the flagship projects of former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, whose intention was to create more than 800 parks and green spaces in the city of Chicago.

Located at the foot of the skyscrapers, this pretty little beach is located just next to Navy Pier. You can go swimming there before enjoying the attractions of the pier. Overhung by the Willis Tower and shaded by the trees of Jane Addams Memorial Park, it looks like a postcard setting! Sometimes events are organized there. For a good time with friends or family, sit on the terrace of the pleasant little café overlooking the beach, Cafe Olivia. In season, there are lifeguards every day from 11am to 7pm.
