Residence of the Obama family for more than 10 years with a Georgian architecture.
This beautiful Georgian-style red-brick mansion, located in the upscale Kenwood neighborhood adjacent to Hyde Park, was the Obama family's principal residence for over ten years. Barack and Michelle Obama acquired it in 2005, shortly after his election to the Illinois Senate. Still owned by the couple, it remains heavily guarded and inaccessible to the public, although you can catch a glimpse of the neighborhood as you stroll around.
