The Driehaus Museum, housed in a magnificent 19th-century building built by Chicago banker Samuel M. Nickerson as his residence, plunges you into the golden age of architecture and decorative arts. The collection includes works by Louis Majorelle, the Herter brothers, Édouard Colonna, John La Farge, Émile Gallé and Josef Hoffmann. It also houses the most important private collection of works by designer Louis Comfort Tiffany, best known for his stained glass.
