The St. Regis Chicago, completed in 2020, was designed by American architect Jeanne Gang. At 365 metres, it is the tallest building in the world ever designed by a woman. Its sculptural silhouette is composed of three slender towers with blue glass facades. It houses a luxury hotel. Nearby, the famous Aqua Tower, also by Jeanne Gang, features unique undulating balconies that evoke the waves of Lake Michigan. This innovative building also improves energy performance by reducing energy consumption.
