In the heart of immense plains and crossed by the Véloroute des Bleuets, it is the agricultural capital of northern Lac-Saint-Jean. On the banks of the Ashuapmushuan River, it is home to a well-known resort, the Chute à l'Ours tourist site. A host of activities are offered in summer and winter, and the stilt cottages are really nice. In the centre of the village is Bilodeau Canada, an interpretation centre for taxidermy and pelletier-bottier where all aspects of these trades are explained. The La Normandinoise cheese factory is also worth a stop, especially to discover Le Péribonka, a soft cheese with a rustic flavour.
