Founded in 1667 by Pierre Boucher, Boucherville is one of the ten oldest cities in Quebec. It is now one of the wealthy suburbs of Montreal, but it has kept its historic part with its beautiful ancestral houses lining narrow streets and a church classified as a historic monument. But its biggest asset is the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park. Located on the islands of the same name in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, it offers a haven of nature just a stone's throw from the metropolis. During the summer, you can even go there by river shuttle from Montreal or Boucherville with the Navark company.
