Founded in 1834, the city of Saint-Jérôme is the capital of the Laurentians. It was the starting point for the colonization of the Laurentian region. It is an important crossroads of services, shops and industries across the North River. The city owes its development to the priest Antoine Labelle, whose statue you can see (1924), signed by Alfred Laliberté. The city centre is particularly picturesque. Moreover, if you have the stomach in your heels, go to the rue de Villemure at the Microbrewery God du Ciel. The meals are delicious, very affordable and you can accompany the whole of a good beer bottle.www.vsj.caAccess: Exit 43 of Autoroute 15 North.
