Officially built in 1888, the village has been known as Bolton Forest (1865), Dingman's Flats (1868) and finally Eastman, in honour of one of the pioneers of Bolton Township, John Eastman. The village is renowned for its Silver Lake, its summer theatre La Marjolaine and its literary event Les Correspondances d'Eastman. The village also has a health centre, the Spa Eastman, a true centre for rejuvenation. You can even take a health break on site, including treatments, accommodation and meals. For a different kind of sleep, we suggest Entre Cimes et Racines (13 km south of Eastman), which offers unusual lodging in the forest.
