Nganga Lingolo was once a village on the south-western edge of Brazzaville. It is now an integral part of the city, which has grown naturally. Nevertheless, Brazzaville's inhabitants still like to go there to indulge in their favorite pastimes, eating and drinking, drinking and eating and, in between, dancing wildly. Sunday is traditionally the day for ngoulou, braised pork or pork cooked with plantains, accompanied by a Primus and a chilled Ngok. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The Congolese equivalent of our Sunday barbecue afternoons, but with the added rhythm.
