A good stopover for hikers on their way to Auli or the Valley of Flowers, but also for pilgrims on their way to Badrinath. From Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, you can make a day's stopover at Chopta. The countryside is superb and so are the views of the snow-capped mountains. Here, small roadside gargotes are set up for tourists to fill their stomachs. A wonderful afternoon ahead!
