Altitude: 3,050 m. Ghangaria can be reached after a strenuous 13 km trek from Govindghat. Hotels and restaurants line the main street of this small village. As Ghangaria is on the way to the Hemkund site, there is also a gurdwara, a Sikh temple, which offers accommodation for pilgrims. Power cuts are frequent and many establishments have water supply problems. The cost of living here is higher than in the rest of the valley. This is the last inhabited village in the Bhundyar Valley, after which you'll find nothing but nature as far as the eye can see.
