Kladanj/Кладањ (pronounced "kla-dai") has a population of about 4,000, 97% of whom are Bosniaks. It is the capital of the municipality of Kladanj (population 12,000), in the canton of Tuzla. The town is 49 km south of Tuzla(via Živinice) and 73 km northeast of Sarajevo (frequent bus connections).Situated in the Drinjačka valley, south of the Konjuh mountain, Kladanj enjoys a beautiful environment and lives mainly from the exploitation of wood and the water sources of Muška Voda. Its pretty little center houses the Kuršumlija mosque (16th century) and its surroundings are rich in guesthouses, caves and medieval necropolis.
