Peaceful town located between the Oursin marsh, the forecoast of Auge and the countryside of Caen. The town has developed opposite the ford of the river Muance, in contact with these three terroirs, rich in natural resources. Local production was once very varied: livestock, wood, clay, vines and orchards on the hillsides that made its reputation. In the 19th century, its economy was enriched by industrial activities. Eight mills worked wheat, barley and oil. Alas, the Second World War interfered. After a total destruction in July-August 1944, its development continues today thanks to its proximity to Caen
