Beni Khedache is a village located in the center of Dahar, 30 km west of Medenine and 130 km from Djerba. The village has about 3,000 inhabitants and is the capital of a delegation. Because of the arid environment that characterizes this region and its mountainous terrain, agriculture has had to adapt by water collection systems such as that of jessour which consists of creating by dikes placed in the bed of wadis of ponds to retain runoff water. This traditional hydraulic system is threatened with extinction and is the subject of rehabilitation efforts. We cross it to visit the surrounding ksour.
