If you arrive from Douz, Tamezret will be your first stop in the Dahar after 80 km of a pleasant road. It is a fortified Berber village on the hillside, which blends in wonderfully with the landscape. It has many semi-troglodytic houses. At an altitude of 400 m, the village lives to the rhythm of the seasons and the traditional Berber festivities which are still very lively today. Stop at the Ben Jemaa café, it serves a remarkable tea with a breathtaking view. A stop at Dar Ayed or the art museum will also teach you a lot about the habits and customs of the region. The village is also famous for the weaving of baknoug, the woolen shawls.
