Barisardo is a small town famous for its textiles: carpets, blankets, linen pieces. It is located on the Teccu 'e Su Crastu plateau, in the middle of green hills covered with vineyards and orchards. It is a very old village with remains of the Nuraghic civilization, such as the Sellersu nuraghe, the domus of the janas of Pizzu'e Monti and Funtana Su Rettore, which are a little further on the Su Pranu hills. The village centre is rich in rustic houses and towers dating back to the Spanish domination. The ARST company serves Cagliari (line 103) with three buses a day and Nuoro (line 302) once a day.
