Experienced walkers can try the Border Track, a 21.4 km circuit linking Binna Burra to the Green Mountains. The track passes through areas of temperate and then tropical rainforest, allowing you to appreciate the extraordinary diversity of the site. In fine weather, it also offers spectacular views of Mount Warning and the Tweed Range mountains. In winter, hikers stand a good chance of hearing the lyrebird. The Tullawallal circuit (5 km round trip) takes you up close to the gigantic prehistoric beech trees, monarchs that stand 20 m high and are 2,000 years old.
