Lamington covers most of the spectacular McPhersons Range. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the park protects 20,000 hectares of rainforest, waterfalls and cascades, as well as a rich variety of flora and fauna. Over 140 km of hiking trails criss-cross the park, suitable for all levels. Two roads lead into the park, the Green Mountains route (no caravans allowed) and the Binna Burra route (narrow for the last 10 km). It is possible to camp in the park provided you have obtained a permit from the Green Mountains information center or https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/
