As its remains reveal, Vari is the oldest village on the island. Located 9 km south of Ermoupolis, accessible by bus from the port, this coastal village has a beautiful beach sheltered from the wind. There are several hotels and restaurants. For a day trip from Ermoupolis, visit Manna and the beach of Azolimnos, and on the way back take the other road to Iroussa, a charming green village. From Vari, you can go to the secluded beaches of Fabrika and Santorinioi. Visitors can take the opportunity to visit the Goulandris tower house and the chapel of Our Lady with dreamy panoramic views.
