It is a charming village. With its stone houses, new and old, Miliès has been marked by its history. In fact, the former capital of Pelion after 1880, Miliès, during the Second World War, was invaded by the Germans, who set fire to the village in 1943. And while the reconstruction efforts are still in the memories, an earthquake, in 1955, destroys all the new houses. This was a blow to the morale of the inhabitants, who fought to have their village classified as a regional curiosity.
