Lost village at the crossroads of the borders between Messinia, Arcadia and Elide, Andritsena has a certain charm. First of all, its exceptional location in the gorges of Alphée gives it a superb view of the surroundings. Its flowery alleys make it a welcoming village. Finally, its elderly population seems to have its quarters on the chairs of the cafes of the main square. You can make an excursion to the Mount of Sacrifices. This is where human sacrifices were practiced until the 2nd century AD: children were sacrificed and then eaten by a crowd of guests at banquets, as the traveller historian Pausanias tells us
